In India, the use of the (C) symbol is permitted once the copyright application has been filed with the Copyright Office.
It signifies that the work is protected by copyright law and that the author or owner of the copyright has exclusive rights to reproduce, distribute, and perform the work.
The symbol (C) can be used during the pendency of the copyright application and even after the registration is granted.
However, it is not mandatory to use the symbol to claim copyright protection.
