What is a DIN

DIN stands for Director Identification Number. It is a unique identification number assigned by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) to an individual who is appointed as a director or designated partner in a company or a limited liability partnership (LLP). DIN is a mandatory requirement for all individuals who wish to become directors or designated partners of a company or LLP in India.
