What is ECR Report

ECR stands for Electronic Challan-cum-Return. It is an electronic monthly return file that contains details of the contributions made by the employer to the employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), Employee Pension Scheme (EPS), and Employee Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI).

The ECR report contains information about employee details, such as name, date of joining, salary, PF contribution, EPS contribution, and EDLI contribution.

It also includes information about the employer, such as the establishment ID, name, and address, and the PF code number. The ECR report is used to remit the PF contributions to the EPFO.
