What is Form 6A for in (PF) Provident Fund

Form 6A is a return that has to be submitted by the employer to the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) for the employees who have left the organization and their PF account has been settled.

It is a consolidated statement of the employees who have left the organization during a particular financial year and contains details such as the name of the employee, their PF account number, date of joining and leaving, and the amount of PF contribution made by both the employee and employer.

Form 6A is also used for transferring the PF balance of the employee to their new PF account if they have joined a new organization.
