The initial validity of a trademark registration in India is ten years from the date of filing the application.
After the expiry of the initial ten-year period, the registration can be renewed indefinitely for successive periods of ten years each upon payment of the renewal fees. As long as the trademark owner continues to use the trademark and files for renewal every ten years, the trademark registration remains valid.
